Flowers is a tape label in Toronto.

Because dance music intersects with gender, race, history and identity, we wanted to support causes we care about with each release.

Meaning??
When you make a PWYC donation (whatever feels doable for you) to:

Standing Rock Sioux Tribe DAPL Donation Fund

or

The Sacred Stone Legal Defence Fund

We'll give you a free tape. Free shipping worldwide.
Just email brendanjarnott@gmail.com to let me know you've donated from Nov 1st onwards & give yr address.

Ok, wait - what's on this tape?
On one side, K gives you liminality in club form, with "Let Me".
Wringing emotion out of the empty space in between unrelenting percussive strikes, it embodies urgency, chaos, prickling skin, autonomy, transcendence.

"D&Bee Edits" by Bee, A is on the flip.
I spliced and reconstructed a handful of drum&bass, breakbeat and early hardcore edits that conjure up some powerful feelings for me.

Aren't tapes kinda outdated and inaccessible?
Totally. But we wanted to have a physical art object to help people feel inspired to make a donation. Also, even if you don't have a cassette player, by ordering, you get free download codes for both mixes. And it's really cute! It's like a cute, light, pinkish brick. Who wouldn't want that?!

Damn. I want to hear the mixes but I don't have $$$ right now.
We've made a run of 40 tapes, and as soon as they're all gone, we'll put the mixes up for free.

Sweet. So, how do I get one again?
1) Donate $10 (or more, if you want!) to Standing Rock Sioux Tribe DAPL Donation Fund or The Sacred Stone Legal Defence Fund
2) Email brendanjarnott@gmail.com to let me know you've donated & give your address
3) We'll send you a tape! (while supplies last - we'll make a note when they're sold out)

Maximum respect to everybody <3
